An Insider’s Guide to CelebrateErie 2025 🎶

CelebrateErie is downtown Erie’s biggest summer party—a three-day celebration of local culture, food, music, and community! It’s held annually on State Street between 4th and 10th Streets, which is closed to traffic.

Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned pro, here’s how to make the most of your weekend:

🍔 Taste of Erie

Come hungry! Dozens of local food trucks and restaurants serve up everything from tacos and BBQ to sweet treats and regional faves.

🎨 Explore Chalk Walk + Artist Alley

Watch as local chalk artists transform State Street into a temporary open-air gallery. You can watch them working on Friday and see completed artwork on Saturday and Sunday. Vote for your favorite! Then swing by Artist Alley to browse and buy local art, jewelry, and gifts.

🧒 Family Zone = Kid Bliss

Crafts, games, bounce houses, and interactive experiences await in the family zone. It’s mostly free and designed to keep little ones entertained.

🅿️ Parking & Pro Tips

  • While State Street is closed there is a lot of street parking on the surrounding streets. There are also several parking garages in the area, including our fav (and one most often forgotten about)—the Flagship Food Hall garage at 5th & Peach. Other nearby garages can be found at 7th & Peach, 8th& French, and 10th & French.

  • Dress for the weather. Everything is outside, and the party goes on rain or shine.

  • Get a map to the event here.

  • Most vendors take cards, but small businesses love cash sales (trust us, we know!)

  • If you’re an early bird, the very best time to see the chalk walk (and practically have it to yourself) is early Sunday morning before the festivities begin. Grab a coffee at take an early morning art stroll.

👟 Pair It With a Tour!

While you’re downtown, join us for a Best of Erie Waterfront walking tour! It’s a great way to learn more about the city we’re celebrating this weekend. Note that we will not be offering the Eerie Stories, Legends, and Lore Tour this weekend as our route is in, around, and all through the festival area, so tours in the area are not possible.
